(why would an omnipotent being need protection anyway?)Interestingly Egyptioan mythology has a very similar idea around Ra which is practically identical in every description. @Arkarian23 Indeed religion is responsible for all the bad things in this world BUT again what Jesus Christ has to do with religion and death ? He never spoke about killing or hatred ! All who do things in the name of GOD they shall be in danger of judgement ! As for the holy waters and springs, here's my advice: Do not believe in myths made for old women ! If it is not mentioned in GOD's word (Old/New Testament) it is not trustworthy. If it doesn't happen to you don't believe it !

@JesusChristRevival Religion in itself has been responsible for more deaths throughout the world than i would imagine any disease or war that was not religious. Now let's look at a fun fact.There is a waterfall/river somewhere (I forgot the name) that supposedly has magical godly healing properties. no one who went there with a terminal disease came back cured. There is infact no statistical evidence to say it did anything to improve the conditions of anyone who went there.
